In cases in which the recipient of a work disability pension has died, and had not collected the full pension to which he was entitled, the NII will pay the amount of pension not collected to his survivors (widow, widower or orphans entitled to a survivors' pension). If the pension recipient has left no survivors, the amount of pension not collected will be paid to a person who proves that he provided the pension recipient, in the last year of his life, essential commodities or services without receiving any reimbursement for them.
The payment will not be more than the total amounts of pension paid to the pension recipient in the six months before his death.
The claim for pension payment in such cases should be submitted within 12 month of the death.
If a person entitled to a work disability pension died without submitting a claim for pension, his survivors may submit the claim in his stead, within 12 months of the day of his death.
